Dr. Emerson Vicuña earned his BS in Biology and Chemistry at the University of New Mexico and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State University. Since 2005 he has run his own practice, combining proven techniques in general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry to design a personalized plan for each patient. Yes — we're welcoming new patients of all ages. You can schedule your first visit by phone or text. We set aside extra time for first appointments so we can get to know you and review your history without rushing.
Yes, we accept Medicaid as well as United Healthcare, Delta Dental, MetLife, Guardian, Ameritas, Cigna, Principal, and United Concordia. If you don't see your plan, give us a call — we can often help verify coverage.
Your ID (driver's license, military or state ID), your dental insurance card if you have one, and your completed medical history and registration forms (or arrive 10–15 minutes early to fill them out).
Most people should see their dentist every six months for a cleaning and checkup. Patients with specific concerns may need more frequent visits.
We recommend the first visit between 6–9 months old, no later than their first birthday. We want kids to grow up comfortable at the dentist from an early age.
Find the tooth, rinse it gently (don't scrub it), and place it in milk or your saliva. Call us immediately — time is critical. After hours, go to an urgent care or ER.
